Hemorol is a medicinal product that relieves pain and inflammation accompanying haemorrhoids.
Composition
The active substances are: chamomile dense extract (Matricariae extractum spissum ) (3: 1) [extractant: purified water], thick extract of thistle root (Belladonnae radicis extractum spissum ) (4: 1) [extractant: ethanol 70% (V / V)], Thick extract composed of broom herb, chestnut bark, rhizome of cinquefoil 80 mg and yarrow herb (Extractum compositum spissum (4: 1) ex: Cytisi scoparii herba, Hippocastani cortice, Tormentillae rhizomate, Millefolii herba) [extractant: ethanol 40 % (V / V)], benzocaine (Benzocainum ).
1 suppository (2 g) contains: 50 mg of chamomile extract, 20 mg of thistle extract, 80 mg of a complex extract of broom herb, horse chestnut bark, cinquefoil rhizome, yarrow herb, 100 mg of benzocaine.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Rectal drug.
- The drug should not be used for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor.
Adults: 1 suppository a night, in more severe cases 2-3 suppositories a day.
Action
Hemorol contains active substances that are responsible for the anesthetic (benzocaine), astringent, anti-inflammatory, relaxant and pain-relieving effects.
Indications
- ailments accompanying haemorrhoids (pain, irritation, inflammation),
- inflammation of the rectal mucosa,
- irritation and ruptures of the anal mucosa.
Contraindications
Do not use Hemorol:
- in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- hypersensitivity to benzocaine, plants from the Asteraceae (Compositae ) family,
- in the case of cancer of the large intestine.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Not known:
- methemoglobinemia,
- hypersensitivity reactions.
Warnings and Precautions
- Please consult your doctor if there is blood in your stools.
- During application, pressure may appear, which disappears after the suppository has dissolved (approx. 5-10 minutes).
- The drug should not be used in people under 18 years of age.
- Store the drug below 25 C.
- Keep the drug out of the sight and reach of children.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Hemorol should not be used by pregnant women.
The use of Hemorol during breastfeeding is not recommended.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Do not use in people under 18 years of age.
