Orofar MAX is a medicinal product for use in pain and irritation of the throat in pharyngitis. The drug locally anesthetizes (relieves pain) and disinfects the oral mucosa.
Composition
The active substances are: cetylpyridinium chloride ( Cetylpyridinii chloridum ) and lidocaine hydrochloride ( Lidocaini hydrochloridum ).
1 tablet contains 2 mg of cetylpyridinium chloride and 1 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride.
Excipients: peppermint oil, Schimmel's peppermint oil, levomenthol, potassium acesulfame, corn starch, citric acid monohydrate, macrogol 6000, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, sorbitol.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- A drug for oral use in the mouth.
- The tablets should be sucked, not chewed or crushed.
- The drug should be used for a short time, in the event of no improvement, worsening of symptoms or the appearance of new ones (fever, vomiting, dizziness), a doctor should be consulted.
Children from 6 to 12 years of age: 1 tablet every 3-4 hours, depending on the intensity of the pain. Do not use more than 3 lozenges a day.
Children from 12 years of age and adults:
- acute inflammation: 1 tablet every 1-2 hours,
- milder inflammation: 1 tablet every 2-3 hours.
In adults and over 12 years of age, do not use more than 6 lozenges a day.
Action
Orofar MAX contains 2 active substances which are responsible for the anesthetic effect of the mucous membranes and relieve pain (lidocaine) and the antiseptic (disinfectant) activity showing activity towards bacteria, viruses and fungi (cetylpyridinium chloride).

- inflammation and pain in the mouth,
- inflammation and sore throat.
